We have been remiss in not writing this sooner but things have been hectic. We did want to take the opportunity to thank you both for making the
"custom home" experience such a pleasant one.
When we began looking for a builder, we were warned that finding a good builder was like finding a good life partner. We would be involved in this marriage of minds and ideas for a full year so we should take our time and make sure we were comfortable with the person we chose. We were fortunate because we were building a second home and had the luxury of taking all the time needed to find the right person. We were lucky to have found someone with whom we were able to stay happily "married" for almost a full year!

Every marriage has its little bumps but we were able to weather them and maintain a relationship of mutual respect. Our initial meetings with you, Joe, showed us how creative and imaginative a designer you are and we were duly impressed. (I never thought anyone could be a detail-oriented as Myron but he met his match!) It is also very evident how much you enjoy your job. Our meetings with you showed us how knowledgeable you were about the building process and how quickly you addressed our concerns.

We consider ourselves extremely lucky to have found the you. We appreciate the fact that you were always available by phone or fax and addressed any concerns immediately. Your honesty was always beyond reproach. This made the entire long distance building process more reassuring for us. We were also grateful for your intervention and attendance (in our physical absence) at community meetings involving community regulations regarding our home.

Again, we thank you for your honesty, guidance, input, and expertise in helping us create a dream home we both feel meets all our needs, desires, and more. Please feel free to have prospective clients call us so we can share with them our positive experience. We couldn't have asked for a more amicable "marriage."

Myron and Jane Picoult,

I don't know how to express my sincere appreciation for the job you did to make this complex process over the past two years a pleasure for us. I will not be able to recall all the things that you did, but these are the ones that meant the most to me:

YOUR HONESTY AND INTEGRITY. This quality is why we selected you to handle this large project for us. Throughout the whole time these qualities never varied.

YOUR PASSION ON THE DESIGN ISSUES. Joe, I always felt that you were creating your own home. Your unrelenting interest in discussing every little detail during the design and selection process really made the house what it is today and very special to us.

YOUR PROFESSIONALISM. We both got emotionally caught up in the new home and sometimes you got caught up in that. I respect you for staying calm when we didn't!

YOUR FLEXIBILITY. I appreciate you for letting me be involved in the whole process. I don't think that there are many builders who would have allowed me to get into the details like you did...and to mess up a few, too!

YOUR PATIENCE. How many of your counterparts would wait this long to collect the final payment? Thank you for the grace period.

We wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

John and Janice Bergmann,

Two years ago we bought a lot at Troon North. After interviewing three different builders we selected Tierra for the following reasons:

  • Joe Storey spent a lot of time finding out our needs,
    wants and wish list.
  • He then spent almost three hours with us at the lot determining what type of home the lot could hold. He determined that for the size lot we had we needed to build a two story home.
  • Joe worked with us through the entire design phase of the home. He incorporated all the things that are important to us and added details to the design that have enhanced our home greatly: the house was designed to take full advantage of our spectacular views.
  • We have a very livable, warm feeling home that
    has many interesting architectural details.
  • Tierra’s pricing was extremely competitive. We felt they would be providing more house for our money.
  • The sub-contractors provided by Tierra have been very professional and easy for us to interface with.
  • The house was very well constructed.
  • They have met their schedule commitments and kept within our budget.

From the beginning of our project, you have proven over and over again that their company was the right choice for us. They are both passionate about their work, detail oriented and have been very flexible in working with us. We have always felt that they were building not just our house, but “their” house, too.

You have been very available to us and very responsive to our needs and wants throughout the whole project. When we have questions we get thoughtful responses from them whether they agree with what we want or not. If not, they always have a valid reason and more often than not we went with their experience.

If we were to undertake another building project in the Scottsdale area, there is no doubt in our minds that we would choose Tierra to work with again.

Bill & Susan Luerssen,

My wife and I decided to build a secondary home in Scottsdale four years ago. We interviewed four builders and chose Tierra based on their reputation and their willingness to work with us throughout the planning phase. We have never been sorry. Tierra delivered a quality home on time and what few warranty requests we’ve had since occupancy have been taken care of promptly and professionally.

I have now retired and our secondary home is now our primary residence. We have decided to build another home and have contracted with Tierra. Frankly, we didn’t talk with anyone else.

After our initial experience, our level of confidence was such that we would not consider talking to another builder.
